Jackson had his 18 month check-up this past week. We visited a new doctor and Jackson loved him. The doctor said Jackson was perfect. Daddy went to play golf in Dallas, so Grandma Markham and Great Grandma Fern came to visit. In between shopping, we were able to squeeze in a visit to the Lee’s Summit fall festival. Jackson got a pumpkin painted on his face by a very pretty girl.
One of Jackson’s favorite things to see are firetrucks. We got lucky, when we walked by the fire station the captain was outside and let Jackson sit in the truck. We also got to see the fireman respond to a call. Jackson thought it was pretty cool when they pulled away with their sirens on. It was an exciting weekend. But, the most exciting part was when daddy came home. 🙂
Sorry for the delay in posting. We have been a busy family the last 2 weeks. The last couple weekends have been full of BBQs, friends, family and birthday parties. Jackson attended Broyden Day’s birthday party a couple weekends ago. He had a blast playing all by himself, cause his nutty parents got the time wrong and got to the party 2 hours early. Regardless, Jackson got to see the birthday boy and left the party with some sweet party favors and the best balloon animal ever.
Mom started decorating for Halloween. Jackson likes to move the pumpkins around the house. He picks them up and says “bye”.
This past weekend we visited family in Salina. It was cousin Brauer’s 10th birthday. Jackson got to witness what his birthdays will be like in a few years. 10 crazy boys running around wild. (Mom and Dad are not ready for that!) Before the party we went to watch the future Tony Romo (cousin Brauer) play football. He is good!! 
Jackson found lots of stuff to do at Aunt Tammy and Uncle Rob’s new pad. It’s cool!!! For example, they have this thing that if you step on it really hard, it shoot off a rocket. Jackson wasn’t heavy enough to launch it, but one day!
They have big fields to run crazy in and 2 dogs!
I hope one day I can ride these 2 cool toys!! 
You can tell by Jackson’s eyes, he had a great time. 
The Markham’s had a busy weekend. Jackson had spaghetti for dinner, it was really good and you can tell by his face, his shirt, the floor, and the highchair! Saturday we attempted to attend the MU football game, but Jackson was not feeling well so we did not make it into the game. Uncle Logan came to KC from Texas for the game! We were able to see a few sites and take a few photos before we had to leave. On Sunday Jackson was his normal self again and found some rain puddles to splash around in. This time he convinced his neighborhood friend, Bryn, to join him. On Sunday Mommy and Jackson met Renee, Katie, Wil and Niki at the park for a play date and a picnic. It was a great long weekend! It was another busy week and weekend for Jackson and the Markham’s. Cousins Brauer and Talyn and Uncle Rob and Aunt Tammy came to visit. Jackson had to help pull his weight around the house and we tasked him with watering the plants and Willie. He did a really good job, but more water ended up on Jackson then the plants. Go figure….
Finally Friday arrived, so did the Jilka’s and all the craziness. The kids had a pizza party Friday followed up with staying up too late. Saturday Mom, Aunt Tammy, Brauer, Talyn and Jackson went to the zoo. We got a few sights in before it rained us out 😦 We decided to head to the mall. Jackson got a new pair a shoes for school, he runs really fast! Saturday while mom and dad went to Aunt Mo’s birthday party Jackson played with his cousins. As you can see, they get along pretty well, for now 🙂 It was a great weekend and everyone had a blast.
It was a very busy weekend for Jackson. We started the weekend off Friday night with a visit from great grandma Norma & great aunt Tiny. They watched Jackson play outside and they also got to witness him throwing a fit because he didn’t want to come in the house. Lucky them! After our visitors left Jackson discovered how fun it is to play in the rain puddles. Thank goodness for those potholes in the street. We ended the evening by cooking a nice meal, which Jackson helped prepare. He is such a little chef.
On Saturday Mommy had a baby shower for Jackson’s future big city girlfriend (baby girl Howard who lives in Chicago) so Jackson and daddy spent the afternoon together. Later Jackson and daddy met mommy at Megan, John and Casey Sanderson’s house. Jackson stay with the Sanderson for a few hours while mommy and daddy enjoy a evening out.
On Sunday Jackson spent time coloring, his new favorite past time. We are still working on not eating the colors and keeping the color on the paper (appose to the counter tops, the wall, the windows, etc), we’re getting there.

Cousin Tayln, Aunt Tammy and G-ma Webb visited this weekend to keep Mommy and Jackson company while Daddy played golf. We had a blast playing and shopping! We went swimming too. It was a great weekend and Jackson showed off the whole time!
The weekend of July 8th Uncle Logan and the Etheridge’s came all the way from Dallas, TX to visit the Markham’s. It was a crazy weekend! Jackson attended his 1st royals game this weekend and he had a blast! He made it to the 8th inning (I think he would have made it to the 9th, but daddy was ready to go). Thanks for a great weekend Logan, Jill, Hayden, Brooks and Russ!!
